Our clinical staff tries to make you as comfortable as possible while receiving treatment. We provide either an informal setting with a comfortable recliner or the traditional hospital setting for more extended treatments. There is a TV and magazines in the room to help make your time more relaxing. Snacks and beverages are also available. Blood & Blood Product Transfusions Replacement of blood or one of its components. Effective and safe transfusion therapy requires a thorough understanding of the clinical condition being treated. Patient is typed and crossmatched prior to transfusion for correct compatibility.
IV Hydration Fluids are given, either continuously or intermittently. Sometimes a treatment requires additives to your standard hydrating fluids for treating such things as electrolyte imbalances.
Antibiotic Therapy Administration of an antibiotic by intravenous method.
Remicade Infusion medication shown to have substantial benefits with a number of inflammatory disorders involving the immune system. Used for treating such diseases as rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis.
Tysabri Infusion medication used for treating relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Generally recommended to patients who have not been helped enough by other treatments for MS or cannot tolerate them.
Solu-Medrol Reduces swelling and decreases the body's immune response. This medication is used to treat many different immune, allergic and endocrine (hormonal) disorders.
Iron Therapy A preparation of iron suitable for IV infusion. Very beneficial in treating certain types of chronic anemia.
Boniva & Reclast Used in the treatment of osteoporosis. A mini-IV infusion administered every 3 months for Boniva or once a year for Reclast.
Phlebotomy Technique of removing blood from the body as a therapeutic measure.
Injections A variety of medications are given by a injection. Many are used in cancer related treatment, but we also provide for blood cell building, anticoagulation, vitamin and hormone therapy, etc.
