About Our Program

Shoshone Medical Center’s Outpatient Nursing Services offer cost effective and convenient means for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines.We work with a diverse population of patients including:

  • Patients with blood disorders
  • Patients requiring intravenous antibiotics
  • Patients requiring frequent medication injection
  • Patients requiring central line care

Services and treatments provided include, but are not limited to:

  • Central line catheter care
  • Chemotherapy infusions
  • Hydration therapy
  • IV Antibiotic therapy
  • IV Immune globulin
  • Intramuscular injections
  • Subcutaneous injections
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy
  • Administration of blood and blood component therapy
  • Administration of IV Iron
  • Porta-cath care and management

Patient Conveniences

These conveniences are offered to make the patient’s treatment as comfortable as possible:

  • Comfortable atmosphere with recliner chairs or beds available
  • In-room cable TV and magazines
  • Aon-site X-ray and laboratory services
  • Warm blankets, snacks and beverages
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Caring, professional staff

To Help us Provide Efficient, Quality Care, Please:

  • Bring your physician’s order
  • Bring your current insurance card
  • Bring a current list of medications with accurate dosage and directions
  • Bring a current list of allergies and reactions
  • Be aware that early arrival may increase waiting time
  • Call if you are going to be late
  • Call 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your appointment
  • Call if you have any questions
