Shoshone Medical Center is located in the heart of the Silver Valley in Kellogg, Idaho, and is a Critical Access facility We are a 25 bed rural hospital that offers 24 hour physician staffed emergency department services with up-to-date radiology and laboratory diagnostic equipment and technicians. Both general and orthopedic surgery is offered for outpatient and inpatient convenience as well as cataract day surgery. We have entered a new era in rural healthcare and are excited about the many avenues that are opening up for our small community hospital.
On January 15th, 2005 we moved into a brand new state-of-the-art hospital, designed specifically for our Critical Access status.

The 72 mile "Rails to Trails" path winding its way from Plummer, Idaho through the Silver Valley up to the Montana/Idaho border at the top of Lookout Pass is now open for pedestrian and bike traffic.
