Serenity Fountain

Original Design by Richard Jansen, Jansen Design, Kellogg, ID

Construction & Landscaping by Lakeside Landscape, Hayden, ID

The original plan for the fountain was the conceptual design of Richard Jansen, Jansen Design, from Kellogg.  It was based on the logo of the Foundation which depicts a stylized M, representing our beautiful surroundings mountains with a heart in the center.

Lakeside Landscape, Hayden, ID was the contractor and used basalt columns to shape the backdrop as well as the stylized M.  The heart is granite.

Water spills from the basalt columns as well as from the heart, falling into a basalt chip filled splash area.  Three low voltage under water lights were placed to up-light the “M” and the heart.

The surrounding area is beautifully landscaped and a colored, stamped concrete pathway circles the water feature.

Platinum sponsorship of the Fountain is encouraged.  A stand- alone basalt column will be engraved with the name of the individual, business or family who sponsor the project.  A grand ribbon cutting ceremony will be scheduled to dedicate the fountain and honor the sponsor (s).

Sally Hall, Hospital District Trustee and Foundation member, was the driving force to make the fountain a reality.  She did all the legwork to find the construction company and coordinated all phases of the project.  The Foundation members first begin thinking about a fountain during the fall of 2006 and had their first brainstorming session in January 2007.  It was completed in May 2008.
