Rehabilitation

Shoshone Medical Center provides  inpatient, outpatient, and short-term rehab therapy services including:

Pediatric Occupational Therapy – Helps children reach developmental milestones and learn skills that improve their daily lives.

Hand Therapy – Treatment for the upper extremity focusing on post-operative rehabilitation and preventative, non-operative or conservative treatment or industry consultation.

Physical Therapy – Helps patients improve mobility, strength, movement, and overall function following a surgery, injury, or episode of pain.

Occupational Therapy – Utilizes functional and meaningful tasks such as self-care, homemaking, and leisure activities to improve physical and psychological functioning.

Speech Therapy – Evaluates and treats children and adults who have difficulty with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive function.

Lymphedema Therapy – Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for children and adults including manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, skin care, exercise, and compression garment fitting.

Physical Therapy

Cory Lewis

Cory Lewis, PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT.
Rehabilitation Services Manager

Cory is a Silver Valley native who has been practicing physical therapy for over 18 years. He has received certifications in orthopedic and manual physical therapy. He is also an experienced clinical instructor, and mentors multiple graduate students each year. Extensive experience in pre and post operative orthopedic surgeries, sport medicine, neck/back injuries. Cory enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole and two boys, Andrew and Porter. If not at a sporting event, they will be doing anything outdoors.

Kelli Kenser

Kelli Kenser, PT, DPT

Kelli is a Silver Valley Native who graduated from Kellogg High School in 2013. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Lewis-Clark State College. After graduation, she then moved to Springfield, Massachusetts where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021. She now lives in Osburn and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Cara Cox

Cara Cox, PTA

Cara was born and raised here in the Silver Valley. After graduating from Wallace High School in 2007, she attended and graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at North Idaho College and achieved board certification in April of 2016. She now lives with her husband and 3 sons in Osburn, ID.

Adrianne Vest

Adrianne Vest, PTA

Originally from Orlando, FL, Adrianne relocated to the Silver Valley with her Family in 2015. Adrianne graduated from North Idaho College Physical Therapist Assistant Program and received board certification in 2022. Adrianne enjoys spending time with her family and making memories outdoors.

Sean Curran

Sean Curran, MS, CCC-SLP

Sean Curran received his bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology from Humbolt State University, and his master’s degree in speech pathology from the University of New Mexico in 1994. He has been working in the Sliver Valley since 1997 with all age groups and diagnoses. He has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, home health and skilled nursing facilities. Sean has a strong interest in treating neurogenic and swallowing deficits.

Joanne Bonner

Joanne Bonner, OTR/L-CLT, CFLE

Joanne was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with an undergraduate degree in Social Work and Family Studies. She then attended College of Saint Mary to receive her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2013. Joanne, and her family, moved to the Silver Valley in January of 2016 to continue her career in occupational therapy with SMC. Joanne’s passions lie in family, holistic health, and the practice of yoga.

Amber Weingart

Amber Weingart

Amber graduated in 2012 from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI with her Bachelor of Science in Advertising. She joined the United States Navy in 2013 as a photojournalist where she served several deployments to the FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet AOR. She was honorably discharged in 2018 and began her healthcare studies at Skagit Valley College in Oak Harbor, WA. She then attended Eastern Washington University and received her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2023. Amber holds certifications as a Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise and is a registered 200-hr yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance.
